I came home tonight to a surprise from the man in the brown truck. It was our TV mount from monoprice.

Making sure everything is going to fit right.

Measure twice, drill once.

Keeping it level was the tricky part. The lag screws were so meaty and the pre-fab holes were the exact same size. The pre-drill hole needed to be perfectly centered otherwise the whole unit would shift as the screws tightened.

This thing is solid. 4 – 3/8″ lag screws driven right into the studs. It’s not going anywhere!

Next, I fastened the arms to the back of the TV. The kit included every possible kind of bolt. Good thing, because the bolts that came with our TV were just a little too short for the arms.

The final part was just getting the arms situated on the mount. There isn’t quite as much room as I’d like to plug in cables and adjust the tilt. Another inch or two would really make it easier. All in all, I’m very happy with it. It cost just under $30 with shipping and it took me about an hour and a half to install it. Most of that time was preventing Ben from helping me too much.
